Hi everyone. I'm not sure if I posted this in the right forum, I'm really sorry if I didn't as I'm obviously a new account. Anyway, for some reason I literally cannot play Minecraft at all. I only get around 0-5 fps. My game is especially slow whenever I try to play a singleplayer world. It's basically unplayable. Yes, I do use a laptop but a few years ago my Minecraft would work fine so I'm not sure what happened (I even deleted almost everything off of my laptop too). I really need help and/or suggestions as to how to make my Minecraft actually functional. My Minecraft settings have all been turned to fast (fast graphics, clouds, etc.). I've tried Optifine but for some reason I actually think that it made my game even slower. Please don't say "get a pc/gaming laptop" as I don't have the money right now. I appreciate any help that I can get!

I'd say allocate more RAM.
