After pressing play the new launcher almost immediately closes and then opens again with a message that the game crashed. "An unexpected issue occurred and the game has crashed. We're sorry for the inconvenience". I typically play modded but at this point even the vanilla game isn't working. I have uninstalled all modded content and still cannot play. There is no crash log created.
What I've Tried:
Updating to latest geforce drivers
Downgrading to the latest geforce hotfix (for minecraft: 378.57-desktop-notebook-win8-win7-64bit-international.hf.exe)
Downgrading again to 376.33
Deleting prior drivers in different increments along the way
Removing GeForce Experience
Changing java versions
Uninstalling all java versions
Trying latest 32 bit and again 64 bit
Modifying jvm launch options to change executable
Tried native launcher - Getting java 1.6 error, Also unable to use with modded which is my preferred method of play.
Uninstalling Minecraft. Deleting all content from appdata as well as program files.
Tried twitch installer as well. Neither modded or unmodded work.
Any suggestions on this? Should I be reaching out to official support (is that even a thing)? Anyone see anything in my DxDiag or Launcher that I could address?
In case anyone else is having issues similar to this and not getting anywhere I figured I would post what fixed it. Comodo was blocking the port even though it was set to allowed as an app. I'm not sure if it is something default or that I accidentally clicked a button on one of the popups. Check your comodo firewall if you crash on launch with no apparent reason.

MC 1.12 and 1.10.2 both give the same result.
