Dating back to about a week ago I logged onto my computer and decided to play some Minecraft. The application on my taskbar lit up like usual but... the actual launcher didn't appear. I tried everything like restarting the computer, updating Java, reinstalling Minecraft, restarting the Minecraft app in Task Manager, etc but nothing worked.
I would appreciate it if someone were to help me with this problem.
Did you recently disconnect a dual monitor setup? If so, you will have to reconnect the monitors and find the launcher there. This could be way off, but it has solved some of my own problems.
Thank you, this did work! I don't know if my actual launcher (newer version) will come to, so if anyone or you Tails1 can find out or will find out how to get the new one working (if it's not a hassle) then please do tell me, but if not it's fine.

Please don't mind me asking, but I need a little more specification on what exactly the Mojang bug website is trying to communicate.
Do you have an nVidia graphics card?
"We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far."
What is your driver card? if your driver is Nvidia, then make sure you have the latest one because one of the version, 378.49 broke Minecraft.

No, in fact I didn't.
No, I don't have an Nvidia graphics card.
Use the old launcher.
How do you propose I do that?
Grab it, run it. As simple as that.
