So I recently tried getting MC on another computer, I already had an account, I was just gonna download it on this computer because the one I used to play it on is trash. Everything seemed to go well, I downloaded the thing that makes you put MC into the applications folder, and then after a few bouncy grass blocks in the dock, it "downloads the runtime". After it's done, the window remains and instead says "setting up runtime". A few seconds later it says that "Minecraft launcher has quit unexpectedly." No amount of reinstalling is fixing the crash. The computer I'm using isn't outdated since an older one (the trash one) can run it with no problems. I have no idea what the problem is. Please help!
That's a link to an UNRESOLVED issue. I've already been on that page, too. I have the old launcher, but I'm not gonna bother playing MC until I have the new launcher, which is the one that's causing problems. I'm going to summer camp for a week, and I'm still gonna be away for about another week so I'm just gonna hope that the issue will be solved by then. If not, I'll put up with the old launcher until it gets fixed.
