Yes, there has been a thread almost the same as this one, but with a little less detail, and when I posted on that I got a warning message telling me to make my own thread because I was "hijacking another person's thread for my own problem", but I was having the same exact problem as that person.
Minecraft 1.12 has been failing to launch, I have looked on the Apple forums and found a solution that worked for Yosemite and El Capitan, so I tried it and it did not work.
