I recently bought/installed Minecraft. When trying to start the game, the launcher opens and then I click play. After clicking play I wait for a second or two, then the games window opens up. The problem is that the games window stays white/blank, I can hear the game music and I can hear if I click a button. The game just does not ever start properly.

Well, for one, can you give us your latest log in the .minecraft folder? And two, do you have the latest version of java installed, Java 8?
