After the updated of the launcher following the updated to 1.12, Minecraft no longer launches when I am connected to the internet. If I temporarily disconnect, I am able to open the game and play, but this interferes with getting updates, playing on servers, etc. I use a Mac, and the icon for the game pops up for half a second and then immediately disappears. This isn't a crash in the normal sense so far as I can tell. I am given no warning or reason for why the game has quit.
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_25-b17)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.25-b02, mixed mode)
I run no mods, have no shaders, no VPN, flashplayer and Java are up to date, and I've never before had an issue (not even with 1.12) until the launcher or whatever it was was updated following the 1.12 update. I've tried to be very diligent in seeing if others have had this error, but the posts are usually addressing older versions of Minecraft, and nowhere have I seen this issue with an internet connection being a complicating matter. I wish there were a crash log I could include, but since the game isn't exactly crashing, I don't know if that's possible. If it is, I would be happy to provide the information if someone can point me toward instructions on how to do so.
