The Mojang Launcher Updater gives me an error code 5 message: Problem moving C:/Program Files (x86)/Minecraft/tmp/tmpLauncher.tmp to MinecraftLauncher.exe with error code 5
For that last few days, since this message has appeared when I try to run Minecraft, I've been unable to do anything with it. I've sent a message similar to this to the contact address and was directed to this Forum. It's pretty disappointing!

you can also try using the minecraft.msi and clicking repair
