If you aren't part of the solution, then you obviously weren't properly dissolved.
Do you have a dedicated graphic card? Like the Nvidia or AMD ones. Are you using them to play Minecraft? If you have one and you are using the dedicated graphic, try switching it to integrated graphic ( assuming you have Intel processor) and see whether is the game still laggy. If the problem persist, you should probably check out your cpu. If not, then theres something wrong with your dedicated graphic. Try uninstalling the drivers and reinstall them from OFFICIAL websites. If your dedicated graphic has only very little ram, for example 2-4 gb, try to make sure only Minecraft is using the dedicated ones while the rest use on-board graphics. If you don't have a dedicated graphic ( probably not as integrated cant go up to 200 fps), then check your cpu.
Also try updating your java, you never know if it is the problem.
Last resort, back up everything that is important and reset your pc. That should solve the problem.
Hope it helps. Best luck.

If you have questions about the maps I post as attachments or Amidst and the like read this thread:

The latest release of Amidst, version 4.3-beta5 can be found here:
