So, my friend is having an issue on minecraft and only minecraft. He has an awesome computer with i5 processor, 64-bit, GTX 980, 16gb ram, and so on. He gets about 700-900 fps when his is not recording in fullscreen. When he goes into fullscreen and starts recording... he drops down to about 5-10 fps. We have tried just about everything and can't find out how to fix it. If you have any suggestions please tell me because I would love to be able to help him fix it. BTW his recordings only lag on minecraft he can perfectly record any other game such as ark, csgo, heroes and generals, and so much more!
He uses Open Broadcaster Software. He also has 4gb ram put into running minecraft and he used to be able to record and still have about 500fps while doing so. We went to record a video one day, about a week ago, and he went into fullscreen and he couldn't even move
