I'm using Minecraft 1.8 with Forge, Optifine, and a couple other mods. When I load up a world, I notice that most of my inventory items are darkened, and it's hard to tell the difference between several items. This includes solid blocks, but not tools. (Image attached)
Through my research and a bit of trial and error, I've figured out that the problem is a compatibility issue between the version of Forge I'm using and Optifine. In order for it to render the items correctly, I have to use an older version of Forge. However, Minecraft won't let me use versions of Forge below 11.14.4, and the one that works is one I can't use. I've also tried using the old launcher, and that didn't work.
My question is; is there a way for me to get Minecraft to let me load up that older version of Forge?
Okay, so what I did was I loaded up the older version of the game with just Optifine, which worked, then I loaded it up several more times to isolate the mod that wasn't letting the game load up. It was Inventory Tweaks, which I went and downloaded an older version of. The game was able to load up on 1.8 without the darkened inventory.

You need to use a updated version of forge(the recommended one for 1.8) as a mod is requiring that version
