So running the game from my laptop I get around 2 fps at lowest settings. looking at the Debug Pie I can see that 97% of the usage is due to tick. Looking further this says that 95% of that is from textures.
This is a completely unmodded game using default texture packs and minimum settings.
I havent been able to find a reason for this insanely high usage. I have multiple GB of RAM allocated to the game but it isnt using all of it, The CPU usage sits at around full when in game but that is to be expected for the crappy laptop.
Interesting thing is I have another copy of the exact same laptop, the only difference is that one has windows 8.1 and this has windows 10.
The laggy windows 10 machine doesnt die on me in other tasks so it is just minecraft. it uses a Pentium 3556U 2x 1.7GHz, no discrete graphics and whatnot, just a basic laptop.
The windows 8.1 machine gets around 45 fps on the same settings.
I really dont know what else I can do, Java is fully updated and I cant find any resources for fixing this anywhere else.

Dont allocate more than the default, it makes it worse
