After i click play on the new mine craft launcher it opens a window to load then closes while returning me to the launcher, please help.

I need to ask you weather you have JAVA or not, If not consider downloading it!
Usually people have JAVA but check if you have the latest update.. Usually that too should affect
Last method is check your RAM, minecraft sometimes requires atleast MORE ram for newer versions!
If you have 4GB of Ram youre good!
Also last method download a update for your graphics driver, send me all your PC info ill check it out
