In my skeleton farm, i have a water flow that is supposed to push all the skeletons into a 1x1 area. however, before they fall off into the 1x1 area, they push against the water stream and block up the entire farm (http://imgur.com/a/gHPI8)
Does anyone know how to fix this? it's really annoying.
they come up on the left (the water elevator) just fine then get stuck and dont want to go down the drop.

Try the changes in bold above.
I think your problem is the final water block on top is not forcing them to flow due to the source being there. move the source block back one into the wall so that the mobs will still go up to find air but will be pushed to the right.

Thank you for your help, however:
I tried what you recommended, but it doesn't work. If it helps, the blockade is starting right before the drop, not at the elevator.
