So i created a world called Nether Survival where i made this giant city. I worked on it all the time and it meant alot to me. Then yesterday i was gonna load up my world when i noticed it wasnt there anymore. I checked my saves file and the only thing there was a file named ##Nether_SurvivalUNDO##
i tried using system restore and file recovery softwares but it didnt work. If there is a way to get it back i would like to know.
The sooner you do something about it, the better your chances. There are a number of apps to help you do this. A good free one from a reliable company is Pandora Recovery http://www.pandorarecovery.com/ . But I can't guarantee that it will help you.
This is a great tool and used by me on a weekly basis to recuva friends and family lost or deleted pictures and files.

If there's a zip file with backup in its name, that's likely a recent backup of your world. Try that and see if it loads.
