I tried to join Minecraft realms, and it says I needed a parental consent. I'm over 13 on my account, and because of this crap I can't even edit my password. Even my brother who's under 13 is able to play without any parental consent, and I'm not able to, I find it very strange.
So I asked my parents for verification and they spent 10 cents on it, one of the credit cards said there was an error, so we used another one. It just stayed in the verifying section for like 30 minutes and we gave up. We tried another credit card, stuck in verification screen again. This happened twice.
I'm trying to get parental consent so that I can:
- Play Minecraft Realms
- Get a ban appeal on Mineplex (I got perm-muted for no reason)
- Change my password. That's right, you can't even access account settings on your own account. And I'm clearly over 13.
I have sent an email to Mojang about this issue, got back with a reply telling me to log out and log back in to the Minecraft launcher. Of course it didn't work, asked another Mojang Support worker, and he/she said the same thing.
Any solutions for this? My Minecraft IGN is: SpitePlaysMC, fyi.

Mojang have to add this into accounts because of the US law COPPA
