Hello, so this problem that I am currently experiencing has just started occurring today. The problem I am experiencing are random lag spikes when I play Minecraft, they occur every 10-30 seconds and can last for up to 15 seconds. I have trouble shooted on all different versions, older and current, modded and unmodded. I've restarted my computer and even changed my JVM arguments. I'm worried that there may be something wrong with my computer and I just wanted to come here to see if anyone knew anything about this situation. ( I have the most current MacBook Pro with 8GB RAM, I can run 10+ mods without trouble at 150 FPS, and the lag spikes that I get essentially freeze my game. ) pls help

Before I can help, are you using an older, non gaming computer, or a newer computer. I also need to know some specs on your PC, such as processor, Gigahertz, and graphics card. The only thing I can think of is that your processor or something of the such is not good enough to handle the game.

So, I had seen online that I could remove the loading screen in Minecraft so I changed my Minecraft JVM arguments to

-Xmx4G -Xms4G -Xmn768m -XX:+DisableExplicitGC -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+UseParNewGC -XX:+UseNUMA -XX:+CMSParallelRemarkEnabled -XX:MaxTenuringThreshold=15 -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=30 -XX:GCPauseIntervalMillis=150 -XX:+UseAdaptiveGCBoundary -XX:-UseGCOverheadLimit -XX:+UseBiasedLocking -XX:SurvivorRatio=8 -XX:TargetSurvivorRatio=90 -XX:MaxTenuringThreshold=15 -Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true -Dfml.ignoreInvalidMinecraftCertificates=true -XX:+UseFastAccessorMethods -XX:+UseCompressedOops -XX:+OptimizeStringConcat -XX:+AggressiveOpts -XX:ReservedCodeCacheSize=2048m -XX:+UseCodeCacheFlushing -XX:SoftRefLRUPolicyMSPerMB=10000 -XX:ParallelGCThreads=10

It worked fine the first day I used it but then the next day, I woke up and these problems were occurring...

Ok, I'm not at home right now, but I'll tell you if it works when I get a chance to.

UPDATE: I found the problem, it was actually within my computer and not minecraft. It's all fixed now, but thanks for your help!
