I briefly looked around for similar issues on here and didn't see anything recent but hopefully someone will have a workaround for this issue I've had.
First off, I've had this issue on Win 8.1 and 10, as well as Ubuntu so it's not the OS. I normally play modded but for the sake of figuring out the movement issue, I've been playing on clean installs of the client and unmodded. I've noticed this issue since 1.8.x and up to the current 1.11.2 version. When I try to walk around, there is a delay in which the character responds to my key presses to move forward, backward or strafe. I've tried disabling the "auto jump" as well and it did not seem to make any difference.
Quite often my character will not move whatsoever and I will have to press the key several times before I can move. I can look around and attack with the mouse perfectly fine. My game runs a steady 250fps if I turn the cap up so I know it's not simply lag. I do have all the graphics settings in-game maxed out but that's never made a difference.
It also doesn't matter if I play singleplayer or multiplayer. Same issue. If I set the client to 1.7.10 then it plays smoothly and responds very quickly to key presses. Normally I'm good at figuring out issues related to glitches or mod conflicts but since this is unmodded and unedited, I'm unsure of the issue or if there is a fix/workaround available. I haven't set any extra arguments during launch and since it's a vanilla game, I left the memory set to 1gb.
Currently I'm running Windows 10 and I'm using MultiMC to run minecraft for my various instances. Any help would be appreciated.
