Hi, I have a personal modpack that was running fine until Java got updated to version 1.8.0_121, now my Forge freezes at initialization even if let it load a complete day. I updated all of my mods, and I reinstalled Java but it doesn't work.
Thanks for any help
Updating Java doesn't mean the launcher your using updates too. Did you update the launcher settings to use the new Java? What launcher are you using?
"We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far."
My launcher has the 2.0.847 version. I didn't update the launcher settings to use the new Java, I wasn't aware of that. How do i do it ? Thanks
1. Open the launcher
2. Click on Launch options
3. Enable Advanced settings
4. Click on the Profile
5. Enable Java executable
6. Click on the folder at the end of the line and set the path to the Java version
7. Click Save
So i did it, but my minecraft still freezes at initialization, is there something else I should do ?
