So I was part of a server and I had alot of things heppen and i stopped playing they gave me a save of the server but when i open it i dont get the full world. i thought at first the whole world was blank like just the seed because it was the world we built in but all the builds were gone. later i notice that the builds around a certain chunk are still there but the others didnt load. is there any recovery tools i can use. i have so many memories of the world
I figured out a few things since earlier. I was missing a few files so the overworld is working now, but the server i was part of had some kind of multi world thing so the overworld and the neither are in different folders. Is there any way i can combine them?
Not sure if you can take a multi-world server save and make it a single player save file. I don't know how those servers store the world files, but you may be able to do it by moving the region files for each world into the DIM folders for the single player save. If it had a separate world for the nether, you'd have to take those region files and put them in the proper folders for the nether in the single player save, and the same for the end. Any other worlds it had would be more difficult, as the base game only supports those tow extra dimensions.

To tell them how to live is to prevent them living.

Each dimension is stored in a different folder(see server.properties)
rename the nether one to DIM1, Overworld to DIM0 and End to DIM-1
