When I completely uninstall and delete everything, uninstall java, and then reinstall everything, minecraft works until I restart my computer. Once my system is restarted, it goes back to giving me that error.
So, as soon as I double click the shortcut on my desktop I get:
"Minecraft launcher has stopped working.."

Yep, that sounds about right. I'm not even able to see the launcher before it crashes out.
and yet, I'm able to launch it with an older version. C'est la vie eh?
