As per the title, I put in quotation marks "crash" since it's acknowledged by the launcher that there was a crash, but no crash report is made...

regular forge loads just fine without any mods, I added a few mods that don't have/require any coremods, like witchery and they run fine also, but the moment I add a mod like thaumcraft, chicken chunks or w/e, issues arise and the game never launches.
I've tried installing various java versions, nothing seems to be working, the exact same mod list works on another pc running the same operating system and the same java version, but just not this one, so I know it isn't a mod conflict

as an additional: it also appears to be detecting the OS wrong on one machine, it detects it as 8.1 even though the computer has never had 8.1 on it, only w7 then w10, not sure if that's related.
Java
detects it as 8.1 because its not using the new registry path where the
correct one is stored(and Microsoft set it to that for compatibility)
As for the crash, remove all your mods and add them one by one to see the one crashing
I already tried that, it's literally any mod that has a "coremod" association, aka witchery is fine, but thaumcraft is not, the list of mods works on another PC flawlessly, same mods same java version, same forge version and it works on one PC, but not the other. It's not the RAM either since the mods work with 1GB just fine.
There's no error given, it just never opens and doesn't give any helpful information in the logs, I found one other person with the same problem and they never got it fixed.

This isn't necessary since the modpack works for others, it's an isolated problem in which 2 computers in particular can't play ANY modpack with a coremod association in it.
Can't even play tekkit classic from the technic launcher and etc.
Since this is isolated to two particular computers which both underwent a windows 7 to win 10 "free upgrade", I'm going to assume it's some kind of dependency that's missing or corrupt.
If anybody could give me a list of dependencies that can factor into the launching of FML with mods, I'd be appreciative.
(not Java RE, since I've tried multiple versions and all the modpacks I've tried on other pc's work on the same java version, which rules out the java version, but not necessarily java? maybe there's something in the registry causing issues)

The mods aren't required, the modpack functions fine for others, just not in this isolated case, so it doesn't appear to be a problem with the mods or the forge version used, or even the java. It must be something else?
If it says MCP, FML and Forge, those are a version missmatch between the client and the server

a-h'what now? The modpack I'm trying to play works for everybody else, just not me. The minecraft client itself never actually opens, I click play then immediately I am greeted with a crash notification, but no crash log is produced.
Although I appreciate your attempts to assist, it's frustrating when I say "it's not a mod issue, the client won't even load or produce a crash log" and you say 'your mods aren't the same as the server you're connecting to' which does not make any sense given the information on-hand.
In closing:
There is nothing wrong with either logs, they don't show anything wrong with the game or launcher, and everything in those logs is absolutely normal and not indicative of any failings or problems. The problem lies with an external influence that has almost nothing remotely to do with java.
Java version, launcher, FML, mods(mod versions) were all fine, no problems with any of them. Problem was with Nvidia drivers.

378.49, the driver had not been updated, it now has been updated and the issue is fixed. You say it causes a 'different thing' but reading that bug report is literally exactly what I was experiencing, the game would never launch and no crash log would be given, again I thank you for the time and assistance, the problem is now resolved. As per the title, I put in quotation marks "crash" since it's acknowledged by the launcher that there was a crash, but no crash report is made...

regular forge loads just fine without any mods, I added a few mods that don't have/require any coremods, like witchery and they run fine also, but the moment I add a mod like thaumcraft, chicken chunks or w/e, issues arise and the game never launches.
I've tried installing various java versions, nothing seems to be working, the exact same mod list works on another pc running the same operating system and the same java version, but just not this one, so I know it isn't a mod conflict

as an additional: it also appears to be detecting the OS wrong on one machine, it detects it as 8.1 even though the computer has never had 8.1 on it, only w7 then w10, not sure if that's related.
Java detects it as 8.1 because its not using the new registry path where the correct one is stored(and Microsoft set it to that for compatibility)
As for the crash, remove all your mods and add them one by one to see the one crashing

I already tried that, it's literally any mod that has a "coremod" association, aka witchery is fine, but thaumcraft is not, the list of mods works on another PC flawlessly, same mods same java version, same forge version and it works on one PC, but not the other. It's not the RAM either since the mods work with 1GB just fine.
There's no error given, it just never opens and doesn't give any helpful information in the logs, I found one other person with the same problem and they never got it fixed.
This isn't necessary since the modpack works for others, it's an isolated problem in which 2 computers in particular can't play ANY modpack with a coremod association in it.
Can't even play tekkit classic from the technic launcher and etc.
Since this is isolated to two particular computers which both underwent a windows 7 to win 10 "free upgrade", I'm going to assume it's some kind of dependency that's missing or corrupt.
If anybody could give me a list of dependencies that can factor into the launching of FML with mods, I'd be appreciative.
(not Java RE, since I've tried multiple versions and all the modpacks I've tried on other pc's work on the same java version, which rules out the java version, but not necessarily java? maybe there's something in the registry causing issues)

The mods aren't required, the modpack functions fine for others, just not in this isolated case, so it doesn't appear to be a problem with the mods or the forge version used, or even the java. It must be something else?
a-h'what now? The modpack I'm trying to play works for everybody else, just not me. The minecraft client itself never actually opens, I click play then immediately I am greeted with a crash notification, but no crash log is produced.
You have outdated versions(or the server has) of those mods(and forge itself).
Try finding the version of the server of those mods and installing them

I think you're misunderstanding, the game never launches, there is no server involved. I think I may have found the problem and it may be due to nvidia drivers, as the version in question is actually the version which is installed on the machine which isn't working: http://www.pcworld.com/article/3164453/hardware/nvidia-releases-hot-fix-after-game-ready-driver-breaks-minecraft.html
Although I appreciate your attempts to assist, it's frustrating when I say "it's not a mod issue, the client won't even load or produce a crash log" and you say 'your mods aren't the same as the server you're connecting to' which does not make any sense given the information on-hand.
In closing:
There is nothing wrong with either logs, they don't show anything wrong with the game or launcher, and everything in those logs is absolutely normal and not indicative of any failings or problems. The problem lies with an external influence that has almost nothing remotely to do with java.
Java version, launcher, FML, mods(mod versions) were all fine, no problems with any of them. Problem was with Nvidia drivers.

The nvidia issue is https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-112780 and causes a different thing, plus your drivers would have updated by now

If you had bothered to read the launcher log, you would see:

378.49, the driver had not been updated, it now has been updated and the issue is fixed. You say it causes a 'different thing' but reading that bug report is literally exactly what I was experiencing, the game would never launch and no crash log would be given, again I thank you for the time and assistance, the problem is now resolved.
