Hey guys,

The title basically explains my problem. I am running a server with some friends on my computer. I am trying to OP myself. When I type "op Elismist" in the server console, it says that it has opped me, however I still do not have permission to use commands in-game. I have run the "op Elismist" command several times, both before and after restarting the server, all with the same result.

In the ops.json file, it has my name listed as such:

I am not using any kind of plugins; just the server as-is. I have tried googling the answer and searching all kinds of forums, but as far as I can tell, I'm doing everything the right way.

The uuid of Elismist is 0f8dc9d4-5b9c-4512-ab6a-7f68ccdc2757, try changing it to that in the uuid section

Alright, now it shows as:

This doesn't seem to change anything in-game; I still don't have permission to use commands in-game.

What version is the server?

The server, along with my version of Minecraft, is 1.11.2.

Can you try with a snapshot server is a new folder?

I can now OP myself successfully in this new snapshot server! I moved the world from our 1.11.12 server to this snapshot server, and I can now OP myself in our server! Problem solved. Thank you!

Do you have any idea why I might've had this problem in the 1.11.12 server? If not, that's ok; I'm mainly just curious.

no idea, can you try making the server with 1.11.2 in a new folder? if that doesnt work, create a ticket in bugs.mojang.com(Saying it was fixed in the snapshot) and PM the link
