Recently, I have been noticing that all my programs lag an extreme amount when my game is running. I'm having the most issues with my browser, Discord and Skype. I've tried several browsers, and came to the conclusion that none of them work correctly whilst the game is running.
My game runs on 1.11 Optifine and all settings were optimized to make the game run as fast as possible. Reducing the settings to an extremely low amount doesn't fix this issue either.
It didn't do this until about two months ago, and I have no idea what could've possibly caused it. I'm no computer expert myself, so I ask for your help to possibly resolve this issues I'm having. I'm often very busy and multitasking is a priority for me, so this has been obstructing my workflow.
PS: Before you ask, Minecraft is often running while I'm working because I own a Minecraft server and I strive to be available when issues occur.

You are allocating more RAM to Minecraft? Seems like you allocated more than the default 1GB and Windows is swapping the other programs to make room for it
