So I downloaded the "Farming Valley" mod pack for 1.10.2, and edited ever so slightly, by adding:
Pams harvest craft,
Pam's get more seeds,
Basic metals (and it's partner mods) mod,
Animania,
TiC, (+ More TIC)
DecoCraft2,
McCrayfish,
Backpacks,
Treecaptaitor,
Lootbags,
Roots
and a add on to PSI.
(Just adding these case their relevant)
But everything lags, heck even as vanilla it lags, stutters, and freezes, and stops responding, with everything on the lowest settings. (Heck lags my whole computer!)
And I have a 6GB Ram Pre-Dell, 64 bit system, Alienware x51 (I believe x51 R1 for the UK/EU?) so out of curiosity and pure patients from the lag, check the task manager aaaand:
Ummmmm.... I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be like that, be it Modded or Vanilla... Despite how much of a resource hog Minecraft & Java are...
Also yes, I have 64 bit Java.
Modded 1.10.2 requires at least 4G memory allocated. If you have only 6G system RAM, then your using over half, not a good situation.
Suggestions:
1. Add more system memory chips
2. Play other versions of MC
3. Use another PC
...No offense I can't tell if your being serious, or not. (I've seen a lot of people be jerks a manor similar to this, giving unhelpful advice.) anyway, I am going to try and get a new memory stick for my alienwere, as everything is saying I should have 8GB Ram in my pc, yet it says I only have 6GB, however it is going to take at least a year for me to save up to get it.
But yeah, I agree, it's not a good situation, that seems like a MASSIVE oversight on Microsoft's part to make the game run like that on vanilla as well... Does 1.10.2 have a known bug or something for eating massive amounts of memory or something?
Its 1.10.2 Forge. Ever since it was released, using it required a lot more memory than we normally used.
As far as the system RAM, I've seen similar situations where Windows does not recognize full memory available. You said you have 64 bit OS, have you looked at the BIOS settings?
