Hello everyone! I'm really lost on this one and hoping that some of you may be able to offer some insight as to what is going on here.
Minecraft worked perfectly on my system in 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate and Xubuntu 14.04, then I had the bright idea of trying out Windows 10. So I wiped my drives and did a clean install of 64-bit Windows 10 Pro. I've made sure it is fully updated, installed the latest WHQL drivers for my video card, etc.
I am using the Curse / Twitch launcher and Minecraft keeps freezing randomly. This can happen within seconds of loading a world, or after a couple of hours playing. When it freezes the client stops responding, but it seems that the game is still running because the log file keeps getting updated, and I died once about 3 minutes after the client stopped responding (according to the latest.log file). When it freezes I have to force close it because it never actually crashes or closes on it's own. There is also no crash log generated, and there is nothing in either the fml-client-latest.log or latest.log files to provide any indication of what is going wrong. The only information at all that I can find is in the Windows Event Viewer which shows the following:
The program javaw.exe version 8.0.1210.13 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

This issue occurs across multiple different mod packs with 1.7.10, 1.10.2, and 1.11.2, as well as using both the native launcher and the jar launcher, even with no additional jvm parameters. I am using 64-bit Java 8 update 121.
I tried using Microsoft's Process Monitor to see if I could figure out what is going on, but I couldn't make heads or tails of all that information. I have uploaded a copy of my process monitor logs here:
Thank you for your reply, however, this is not what is happening for me. That bug is specifically when using the new (native) launcher with Minecraft freezing at the Mojang logo during loading. My problem is freezing after loading a world and playing for a random period of time, not at the Mojang logo. My issue also occurs with both the native launcher as well as the old jar launcher.
If you have any other suggestions, I would love any input.
I must be missing something then. The only fixes listed in the link you provided are to update the drivers for my graphics card, and try using the old launcher. Both of which I have done, and still have the same problem. I have an Nvidia Geforce GTX 970, am using the latest WHQL drivers (381.65), and this problem occurs with all versions of the Minecraft launcher.
Is there any other possible solution?

Its the same cause and fix, I dont have the link for that case at hand(but the two should be merged into a single one anyway)
