When I click the play button on the new launcher (2017) the game attempts to run,then crashes.

I tried updating Java,didn't help

My computer ran minecraft with the old launcher just fine

Is there a way to download the old launcher before automatic updates were a thing?

I hate to bring back a dead thread,the other launcher does work but I would like to try to get the newer one working,any ideas?

So it's the launcher itself? I've been waiting for them to fix it for a while.

Then again,it's owned by Microsoft so it'll probably never get fixed

Mojang still devs the launcher

Unless MS doesn't want it to work because I'm using windows 7

Windows 10 is dumb

It works fine in Windows 7, it works on linux and mac
