This is my first post just for help here so please don't get mad at me if I'm doing something incorrectly.
Anyways, I've recently decided that I wanted to play Minecraft again, so I launched everything and tried to enter a server.
When this happens, an error message occurs:
"Failed to login: The authentication servers are currently down for maintenance."
I googled what to do, and I've done multiple things.
I confirmed that the authentication are up, restarted my router, allowed java on my firewall, and uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft.
But I cannot seem to find a solution.
Another note is that when I play in singleplayer, my skin does not show up, but I can upload new skins fine on the launcher.
I currently have Kaspersky Total Security as my antivirus.
Trend Micro HijackThis is a utility that is used to collect diagnostic reports of your computer to help narrow down an issue you may be having. Download: https://sourceforge.net/projects/hjt/files/2.0.520beta/HijackThis.exe/download Run the program, choose "I accept", then "Do a scan and save a log file". After a while a text file will open. Copy everything, put the log on http://paste.ubuntu.com and give us the link.

When I started it, it said something about not being able to access hosts or something and if there's some kind of hijacked domain it won't work...I'm sorry if I'm being unhelpful.
In the error, it told me some instructions I had no idea how to follow...so hopefully this helps?
Okay, so I decided I couldn't uninstall kaspersky since I would have no idea how to get it back and be unprotected.
I found the setting of encrypted connections scanning and switched always scan encrypted connections to scan encrypted connections upon request from protection components.
Thank you for your previous help.
But I am just wondering, by switching that setting, would I be putting myself in any risk of malware?

Again, sorry if I'm posting this correctly.

Is there a way I can just disable kaspersky and not uninstall it?
disabling it might not disable it completely

To scan encrypted connections it has to MITM, so its actually more insecure(imagine in the key got leaked)
