Does anyone know what that blue circle is (in the attached photo) and how to get rid of it? It randomly appeared there and I didn't change any settings or anything. The mods I have installed are:
Forge Modloader
Optifine
InvTweak
WorldEdit CUI
JourneyMap
(not sure why my Minecraft window says I have 8 mods installed)
I can't be sure... are you using Windows 10 version of Minecraft & could this be something to do with Xbox login ??
I don't own Win 10 so no idea if that version shows a logo on the side or not but iirc the Android version (which Win 10 seems to be very much of similar design) does have a 'Steve' character on the right on main screen
I know (from friends) that Win 10 'insists' you log into an Xbox account when it gets installed - even if you don't have one (I believe friends had the 'upgrade from v8.x not a original full install) so I'm guessing that the Win 10 version may look at your Xbox account for any skin you may've attached to that account & maybe if it can't find one it shows that circle instead (although I would've thought it would show a default skin instead or an 'X' logo)
Googling "Microsoft logos" the nearest I can find to that circle design is the Cortana logo.. although WHY that would show/start up with Minecraft I don't know so I doubt it's that (although cortana is JUST the circle - not that /\/ in the middle)
Incidentally - 'forge' consist of 2 (or is it 3 ?) modules so even if you have JUST forge installed it'll say ''2'(or 3) mods installed anyway

try looking for background programs in the right section of the taskbar. Also, this has been asked before but I'll ask again: are you using an official launcher or a 3rd party launcher?
Thanks for clearing that up.. not knowing win 10 version I didn't know.. I only assumed cos the desktop seems to have cortana on taskbar
Because he has Windows 10. The java version is still the same for Windows 10, Windows 10 edition is just Minecraft PE ported to use dxdiag 12 and its only sold in the Windows 10 store, thats why its called like that

hank you everyone for your help. I discovered that it is a sound tracker from Nahimic 2, and the logo is what is displayed. It comes installed on all MSI laptops, which I own. I believe there is a way to disable the feature in the software's settings. However, I am currently unable to open the software. If anyone else has the same issue you can disable it in the Nahimic settings. Here is a link for support: Thank you regardless for everyone's help/interest.

Any help/insight is greatly appreciated!
Does it appear in vanilla Minecraft? If so, I'm guessing it's a program you have opened doing it. Try exiting all programs you can and try again.
Thank you for your response, it does appear in vanilla Minecraft. It also occurs when all programs except Minecraft are closed.
Are you using a different launcher rather than the normal minecraft launcher?
