Sell your current computer and get a new one, since it has one of the worst intel CPU types. The 'U' type of intel chips throttle down to a measily 798mhz and a single core when they detect they are using up too much power, which is not even enough to run any basic program(including the OS itself) and is the reason for Minecraft being stuck at a solid 30FPS your computer. The reason PC manufactures still use this faliure of a chip type is because it is in-expensive and allows them to blame the throttling on you treating the computer bad, or tell you that your computer is 'old and slow' and encourage you to pay more money for a new one that is 'faster' and has the same issue.
Long story short, don't use ANY computer or laptop when the name of the intel chip has a 'U' at the end.
I don't know why. But why does my laptop suck at minecraft?
I'm running the 1.7.10 Pack. And it runs on a solid 30FPS. which sucks.
I am pretty sure that i have the specs to run it.
NVDIA Geforce 940M
Intel Core i5-6200U
6GB RAM with 5GB RAM allocated to minecraft.

Curse PremiumCouple things:
1. Do you have 64 bit Java installed?
2. You've allocated more than half of your RAM. MC 1.7.10 shouldn't need more than 2G allocated.
3. Your using a laptop. Not to sound cruel, but a lot of posts about lag are with laptops.
"We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far."
i did java -showversion in command prompt and it showed 64 bit.
2. I thought that RAM was the problem of lagging. So i just increased it.
3. :(. I knew i should have bought a gaming PC.
