I have tried to run Minecraft 1.2.4 but it just keeps crashing, I don't know why.

Curse PremiumMy guess would be running Java 8 with an older version of MC.

Java 8 doesnt work with older versions, but its required for the newest snapshot.
Also, it might be caused by a invalid session id, if thats the case, click your name in the launcher, log out and log back in
