It just sprung up without warning or trigger. All of a sudden, when I'm running forge, whenever or wherever I break, place, or alter a block, there appears a half-second long lag spike where the game basically freezes up and then goes back to normal. I've seen others say this is an OptiFine issue, but after removing OptiFine, the spikes continue. No matter the settings I use, the issue remains. Even disabling particles didn't do anything.
I'm wondering if it's one of my mods. My mods list is as follows:

Logs don't show anything out of the normal, which is why I didn't attach it. I don't have video of it now. I tried removing JourneyMaps and it seemed to slightly alleviate the issue, though the problem still continues.
Another new thing I've noticed is that the issue goes away when I'm placing blocks while looking up at the sky or while inside small rooms. Maybe this is an openGL thing?

These have been all over the place. And, interestingly, after booting up this morning, the game does the same thing, even though the problem mod was removed. I looked through and found several dynamiclights errors. I'm trying without Dynamic lights this time.

do you have loads of entitys?
also check underground using spectator to see if there is anything that could cause the lag

I don't. I don't think it's underground since this happens on every world I load using forge.
get rid of all of your mods. get them 1 by 1. every time you get a mod load up your world and break/place a block

It didn't show all of the log. There's also a long line of JAVA: Stream closed in the launcher log.
Solved: Hardcore Darkness was causing the issue. Thanks for the help!
