I recently have reset my PC, deleting all my files and such, and upon reinstalling Minecraft, I found that I cannot run the vanilla game at more than 5-7 FPS. My specs are a GTX 1060, an Intel Core i7, and 8GB of RAM. Before resetting my PC, I was able to run the game with many big mods including shaders. Now, I can't even run vanilla, no matter what settings. Anyone know why this happens, and is there a fix to it?
EDIT: I fixed the issue because it turned out that Minecraft was defaulting to use my integrated graphics chip on my laptop instead of the GTX 1060 I have installed. I set the global default to the 1060, and now it runs fine.
