I do not know how to get the crash report since it doesn't pop up... but I know the game was working perfectly fine until I changed the directory to Java and can't seem to change it back to it's original directory... This is where I currently have it set to, C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_121\bin\java.exe Also, I'm running Minecraft forge 10.13.4.1558-1.7.10, but I don't have any mods installed so I don't know if this is suppose to be under Modded Help...
When I press play a black screen pops up, and sometimes minecraft will open afterwards but it'll freeze and crash.
thanks for that but now everything is freezing.. I can't click on the dropdown box "100" to change it to "All" and also nothing shows up when the game starts up... :c
Which Java location are you using? You should be able to unclick or shade out the Java location and it will use the launcher installed version automatically or act like you are creating a new version and check the java version box to unshade it and copy the default location for the one you are having issues with.
Well if you mean erase everything in the directory so it'll automatically reset, it's not working.. just says cannot find Java file or something. Did you want the url to that ubuntu thing?
You shouldn't have had to delete everything since your issue started when you change the java location to an invalid one. You just needed to uncheck Java executable or put in correct path.
You know what? I think my computer might've caught a virus and it isn't minecraft acting up.. Because all of a sudden it worked and when I closed it and re-opened it to make sure, it "crashed". Then I couldn't click anywhere on my screen... Might be a virus
Run a virus scan and if you inadvertently deleted Minecraft files you should be able to restore them from the recyling bin unless you already emptied it.

Try this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_121\bin\javaw.exe
or this if you have 64bit Java installed:
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_121\bin\javaw.exe
It definitely started up minecraft quicker and got rid of the black box, but it's still freezing and "not responding".
When I force close it from task manager, after it doesn't respond, it "crashes".

Since Forge is installed it is modded support.

I have unchecked it before and it still says cannot find Java, that's why I'm confused
