I'm resigned to this since I can't change it but it still ticks me off. Was recently exploring a new area on the map and suddenly the option pops up to respawn or go to main menu. Since I didn;t even know I was in a problem or injured, I pressed RESPAWN an there I was, back at base minus all my gear and EX.
This is of course not the first time it's happened, but I get get a bit peaved not knowing what killed me or why? I know that the transfer rate and latency of ADSL will cause these problems, but is there any Way I can ameliorate them or at least find out what happened to me?
Can't upgrade because the damn phone or cable companies have decided they won't make enough servicing this area any better than bare minimum.

That message appears when you die, you have 5 minutes(if the chunks are loaded) to get back your items
