My mom has a 1.10.2 world that suddenly started crashing on opening last night. No version switches were done. The world does not load at all without crashing

No mods. Updated Java. Other worlds work fine. What's wrong and how can it be fixed? No backups.

Yes, didn't work. It was one of the first things I tried since I assumed that I had clicked the wrong version and messed something up by joining in LAN.

Same crash? Then indeed it might be something in the world, have you tried looking at it in mcedit?
