Sorry if I sound like a noob, I am in a way, new to this Minecraft crashing thing. LOL, it has never happened to me before on vanilla.

The game crashed whilst initializing game
Error: org.lwjgl.LWJGLException: Pixel format not accelerated

This is the new launcher and 1.11.2 BTW. If you need any new info, I am happy to give it to you.

I have the link from ubuntu, but I'm not sure if I should give you the link, if I do, just wondering, what would you possibly do with it??

I believe any driver after 378.57 should be fixed but your current driver is not correct.

Is it possible I could play Minecraft with having to download anything? it's ok if I do, but I would rather not. Oh, and yes, I tried restarting.

Exactly, what urielsalis stated. You need to update your driver. We included links to the OFFICIAL Nvidia site so there should be no concern about the driver's reputation.
