I've recently moved up to using 1.8.9 mods instead of 1.8, and have installed about 105 mods.
The problem I'm having is there seems to be an auto select tool, which i find really annoying as it keeps change tools if i look at something else whilst trying to mine, also I keeping getting item pickups even if I'm relatively far away! The mods i have are below.
Ive looked in the config files for most of them, and triple checked inventory tweaks but cant find anything. If you know what mod might be causing that then any help will be much appreciated!
The only ring i currently have on is a fortune 1. its not a short distance thing its really far, 10-20 blocks away. ill see a drop on my mini map and start heading towards it and then itll just pick it up??
yeah for the tool that is appropriate for that block, however that might sound convenient, i find it really annoying as im using an anvil pickaxe which is a good pickaxe but it doesnt want to mine sand or dirt and things like that!

Might be a magnet that you have on yourself(AFAIK no mod implements magnets without a item).
If its a short distance or XP, then thats a vanilla thing

yeah tried with out the ring, and i have no armor on haha! The magnet thing isnt such a bad issue its more the auto tool swapping!
auto tool swapping? to the tool that is appropiate for that block or for any?

Doesnt tinker do that? There was a setting to disable it
