Lately I've been trying to play Minecraft on my computer, but I've been having no luck.
Rewind a year ago, Minecraft would cause my computer to blue screen after 5 minutes of playing.
After many attempts, it stops bluescreening, instead my whole monitor turns to a white screen. Music is still playing but after a minute of leaving it like that the music repeats itself.
I have never had any BSOD problems with any other games, playing GTA 5, GW2, Dota, etc.
I really enjoy Minecraft, but I can't play it for 5 minutes until it crashes my whole computer :/
My specs:
Windows 10
Intel Core i7 2600K
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570
16GB Ram (two 4GB Kingston and two 4GB Corsair)
Gigabyte P67A-UD4-B3 Motherboard
Recent launch logs
[0226/235227:INFO:GameCallbacks.cpp(186)] game/net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer (Server thread) warn Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded? Running 3361ms behind, skipping 67 tick(s)
I've tried turning down graphics, re-installing, deleting files, I don't know what else to do..
BSODs and your entire monitor turning to white screen doesnt seem like a issue with Minecraft, depends on the text of the bsod but seems like a hardware issue

A BSOD is usually caused by a memory overload or the processor freaking out over the crap ton of jobs, it is condemned to do.
However, it may be caused by a hardware issue on the GPU so updating your drivers might be a really good idea if you're not intending to buy a new replacement.

Try raising the amount of RAM for Minecraft to use. There's several websites out there than can help you with that cos it can be complicated to explain here lol.
Are you serious? A BSOD is caused by a error Windows cant recover from, thats something only happens in hardware.

Well yeah, the kernal freaks out when it comes across such error.
First, the limit when you are allocating more memory its on java, if it fails to allocate more, it will crash with a OutOfMemoryException. Windows is not even involved in that.
If Windows runs out of memory, it will begin swapping, if it cant swap anymore, it will close programs that use a lot
If all that fails, Windows reboots the computer(doesnt show any BSOD)
A BSOD is never caused by user-level software, at max its caused by a driver

If it's just going to a white screen, then it's probably the display driver crashing. Experienced the same issue on Windows 10 before I ditched it and installed Windows 7. Never experienced the issue since. Try using another OS while playing Minecraft. If Minecraft doesn't cause the white screen to appear on the other OS, then it is a problem with Windows 10. Otherwise if the white screen appears again in the other OS, then it is a hardware issue.
Thanks for finding that, but the problem with me is that it isn't just the game.. It's my whole computer that goes white, I can't do anything. CTRl+ALT+DELETE or click or see anything ..
I would think it's a hardware issue as well, but could it be? Since I can run GTA5 and other games that are relatively big without ever having this issue..
