When I try to download a minecraft version, it will stop and spit out an error like this one:

Unable to create directory. cave12.ogg
Name: cave12.ogg
URL: http://resources.download.minecraft.net/a7/a720e85e35be0dc3186d01cc599121b87e7ee9f7
Error details: The system cannot find the path specified
Filename on disk: 36ec-aedc-3e96-c9a8
Path: C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\Temp\36ec-aedc-3e96-c9a8
Exists: file

Trying again produced a similar but slightly different error:

Unable to create directory. cave12.ogg

Error details: Cannot create a file when that file already exists
Filename on disk: ffbb-aaee-489f-48db

The aforementioned path doesn't even exist which really baffled me.

ByteFence is known to cause issues with Minecraft's installing and updating process. You will need to uninstall it. Steps can be found in the mod notice here: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCL-5546
