I haven't been on Minecraft in a while but with me recently building a computer I figured it was time to get back into it.
The thing is, every time I try to launch the game, it prompts me to install 1.11.2 which always ends up failing with an error. The error is always, "Unable to save download." followed by a basic game file. The attached picture is an example of the error.
How can I resolve this problem? I just wanted to pick up Minecraft again.
ByteFence is known to cause issues with Minecraft's installing and updating process. You will need to uninstall it. Steps can be found in the mod notice here: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCL-5546
