I am having an issue connecting over LAN on the most recent update. On the host side, it shows that the other person connected (this is in the Minecraft Game Output) but immediately timed out. On the other side, it says java.lang.nullpointerexception.
We get this same set of errors regardless of which computer is the host. We have verified that we have the same version of Minecraft and the same version of Java.

And if that doesn't help post the entire game output log that contains the NullPointerException.
The context that the error occurs in contains the clue as to what's wrong.
Logging in again worked.
