With the new (and previous) client, if i go to download/install a previous version of Minecraft (roughly above Launch 1.5) it just comes up with a crash report.
I'm running Windows 7 and Java 8 Update 121 (Version 8.0.1210.13).

Solution 2: Uninstall the drivers and reinstall without installing the 3Dvision drivers
