Hi everyone, I, like most of you, have installed the new minecraft launcher. After loading up the launcher and actually getting into a minecraft server, after about 15 minutes, give or take a few minutes, my whole computer shuts down. I have tried restarting my computer, uninstalling and reinstalling minecraft, deleting all the files for minecraft, and tried adding more Ram to it but nothing seems to change it shutting down after 15 minutes of playing. My fans are all working properly as well as not overheating and my computer sounds perfectly fine but I haven't been able to play all day basically because everytime I go to play it does this. This is very important due to me not being able to upload videos to my channel until I am able to fix this problem. Please help! thank you.
Well I was using SpeedFan to keep an eye on the temperatures and I just used that as an average time, which is why I said give or take a few minutes. I just tried it again and instead of running 1.8.9 which is what I was using I ran the latest version but this time my temperature shot up to 73 and 74 which is way above what its supposed to be so, this new version is making it overheat more than it should.
Clean up the laptop/PC, maybe reapply thermal grease if it got old. A computer shop can help you do it(you basically open it and clean each part to remove dust, then remove the cpu fan, clean the old grease and reapply more, then mount everything back

It uses more resources. If its getting at 74C, you should really clean it up. The shutdown point by default is 82/84C
