Minecraft worked fine last night, I updated the launcher and now I get this regardless of the version I launch and I have gone so far as to uninstall, reinstall and delete the folder in question completely.

Minecraft is now 100% unlaunchable. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's the launcher. I don't know why but if I use the old launcher everything works fine. This still isn't resolved but I wanted to let everyone know I found a work around but not a solution.

Its caused by certain AV programs https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCL-5367

If the error is a language file, is caused by bytefence https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCL-5546

I don't think it's my AV, if it was it should give me problems with the old launcher unless this new launcher functions totally different otherwise that would make so sense.

It does use diffeernt paths that antivirus might block

sorry this took so long. I used the old launcher after this happened but now it won't connect so I finally have to fix this. There is the logfile.

I can't uninstall Bradford networks. If I do I can't use my college's internet. I should be able to get rid of akamai though.

Your college internet might be blocking it too, ask their IT

I just sent them an e-mail. I've contacted Mojang support to since someone else had the same problem and it says the issue was resolved. When I hear back I will let you know what the situation is.

Mojang said they don't have a support team (which is a hundred percent unacceptable in 2017 imho) and referred me here and Lord chat room. I have yet tohear back from our IT department but will edit this post when I do.
