Guess I can't play Minecraft today.

I tried closing it and restarting. On the fourth try it actually worked, so I guess it makes a saving roll each time you fire it up. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't.

Mines does that but after a few tries it stops.

C'mon Microsoft, pick up the stuff xD I play Xbox 360 so I don't have to deal with these problems but I find it funny that as soon as Microsoft gets their hands on Minecraft, stuff starts to get super bad (Unable to use mods, launcher problems, Ect.)

Having the same problem aswell. Anyone could help? Really want to play MC today

Another day, another 38 megabyte download, and I thought "Oh boy. They must have fixed the problem."

Wrong! Now I can't launch MC at all! At least yesterday I could get the launcher to work after 3 or 4 tries. Today, I run it over and over and it never works!

You have any logs?

I have a few oak logs, but a lot of birch planks, if that helps.

Two logs from the middle of last year. Nothing current. I suspect that launcher crashes don't go there.

FWIW: I've discovered that if you keep restarting the launcher over and over, it works about every fourth or fifth time.

Good point. Sorry, I didn't realize that they owned Mojang for so long because it only recently became common knowledge for gamers where I live x,D It seems that some things have gone down recently though. I also didn't realize that Xbox was owned by Microsoft but what I was trying to say about not having to deal with the new updates and stuff is, well, because the PC version gets updates far before the other versions get them so I don't have to deal with the new combat system or the shields yet or other things like those.

The PC version is the original one, Minecraft PE is a different team(and gets things that are later implemented to the PC version) and its catching up,, but it has some limitations due to being run on a phone
The Windows 10 Edition is basically Minecraft PE, and the console versions are made by another company(4J studios), plus getting updates approved is a mess and takes a long time. Also, consoles are limited hardware wise too comparing it to a PC

Another 38 megabyte download this morning and the launcher ran just fine. I thought, good, they fixed it.

But now the Minecraft window, with the white background and the Mojang logo, sat with the "Not Responding" message for about 10 minutes. I left it running in case it was doing something behind the scenes, but after 10 minutes I'm convinced it's just plain broken. Again.

So I finally closed it, and tried again. Now when I click on the launcher icon nothing happens. NOTHING. It's like I didn't even click it. No error messages, no sign that it tried to start up. Nothing.

Why do they keep doing this to us?

Can anyone recommend any other good sandbox games out there I could try. I'm getting tired of fighting with MC every single day.
