I have been scouring the internet for two days attempting to sort this out.

My stepson wants Minecraft on an older Mac. It is stuck at OS 10.7.5 and won't update further.

I finally got the app to not have a stroke across it implying that it could't open.

Now I am stuck. It bounces once and just won't launch.

I swear that there is probably a Java problem. I have tried downloading all sorts of Java to no avail. It still shows that I have no Java on my Mac.

Help!!!

I have tried installing Java in about 8 different ways.

This is a birthday present project, today/tonight is his birthday. Thought this would be SO much easier!
