So, here's the problem: I have the new launch update all set up, but every time I press 'Play', it freezes and a message pops up stating that 'Minecraft launcher is not working'. The thing is, it never shows a crash report anywhere. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft and Java, and I've even tried rebooting my computer, but nothing seems to be working for me. Help?

Have ytou tried a reinstall? (Delete everything except saves in the .minecraft folder)

I have. I figured it could of been a corrupted folder of some sort, but it didn't seem to work.
You have a log in C:\Program Files(x86)\Minecraft, a file starting with hs in the .minecraft folder or somethign in the crash reports folder?
