Long time player, first time poster. I have recently just reinstalled Windows 10 to factory condition on my Asus laptop. My machine is up to date, drivers up to date and the hardware specs out just fine. I have been playing Minecraft since 2012 and I have never had an issue installing Minecraft using the "new" launcher (If there are any players from back in the day you will know what I mean). The issue I am having now is that when I install Minecraft it will completely run through the launch process and the launcher will dissappear for a few seconds and then pop back up with the following Game Output.
I have no idea what this means, I have reinstalled Java and Minecraft multiple times and have checked to see if my graphics drivers are up to date. Everything checks out, I have seen in a few places people saying to turn VBOs off but I cant get into the game to do that and with the new launcher I have no idea where the options.txt is anymore. If someone could please help me with this I would greatly appreciate it!
Yeah I'm having a lot of problems with the new launcher as well. "minecraft launcher has stopped working" is the windows error and "internal fault" is the error message the launcher is giving me. Uninstalling and reinstalling helps for a little while.
I'm experiencing the same issue as yourself. Specifically the .lang files.
Several times i've reinstalled the launcher and it spits back an Error with various different .lang files
I'm also with you that I've been a quiet crafter for many years and this is the 1st time I've had this issue. I also made a post, with less information and eloquence as yourself. Only just got back online and didn't want to start a deep troubleshooting episode with my PC.
I'll pass on any info my end. Hopefully a solution avails.

Last week Nvidia released a borked graphics driver update. That's your problem.
Reverting Nvidia driver is useful for my computer.
Thanks for your answer.
