I recently got a 4k 28 inch monitor, from my old 1080p 24 inch. The GUI scale is all messed up. The large settings is way too small, and the auto setting is way too large. (taking up my entire screen.) Ive tried editing the guiScale: setting in options.txt with no luck, but I might have been doing it wrong. I tried settings it to 1, 2, 3, -1, -2, -3, and there was no difference. This is windows 7, 3840 x 2160 resolution. I am in desperate need of help, because I cannot play period with either setting, large or auto. If someone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

I've done that as well, there is no difference.
Install optifine and make it run at a lower resolution fullscreen. Minecraft doesnt like 4k
